Team managers guide

Knows all the team members and discuss with them on a regular basis to make sure they are all active.

✅ Keep the team happy and active!

  • know everybody's job in the staff team
  • keep in touch with all the staff members weekly
  • follow what we are doing
  • make sure everybody is happy and doing well

✅ Recruit members

  • identify needs for new staff members or contributors
  • work with the community managers to spread the word about the recruitment

✅ Discuss applications

  • check for new applications
  • discuss with the team
  • make a decision and confirm with the manager
  • when a new member gets accepted, grant permissions (see Get started)

✅ Yearly cleanup

  • create a self-assessment form (see template - ask for permissions to edit if needed)
  • retrieve the list of staff on Discord (mention a [Discord moderator] on discord))
  • retrieve the list of staff on the website and their email addresses (mention a [system administrator] on discord))
  • for each member:
    • Send a Discord DM with a link to the form
    • Send a Twitter DM with a link to the form
    • Send an email with a link to the form
  • after a set deadline, send another message to all the members that didn't reply
  • after another set deadline, manually revoke all permissions (see list in Get started) (⚠️ important!)
