Sundays Are For The Code SAFTC

Time 1:45-2:00, HC 0018, every other Sunday

SAFTC is the IT Councils general meeting. During the meeting we'll spend time working on our 1+1s.

1+1s

1+1 means do one thing here and do another one thing at home before the next meeting. The one thing could be a bug fix, a feature, anything. We'll go over our previous and future 1+1s during the first 15 minutes of the meeting.

NOTE: All members of the IT Council are expected to attend the meetings. Please talk to one of the executive members if you have a conflict.

Google Drive - Agenda, Minutes

The IT Council uses Google Drive to store Agendas, Minutes, and Hiring Information. Please request access if you do not have it already.

Minutes

Minutes is a word for "meeting notes." The minutes contain notes on all the topics the council covered at a given meeting. The member who takes the minutes must be adept at listening and typing simultaneously. They also must keep the document in an order that makes it easy for the Manager of Web Services to derive a future agenda from.

Point Why it should be included
Date Identifies on which day the council had a meeting. Used for organization and reference.
Start Time The council does not always start on time. Recording the time helps identify trends of tardiness and punctuality.
Members present/Members not present Reminds members to catch up absent members. Also used in identifying absence trends.
The notes in bullet form Quick note taking on the general subject talked about refreshes memories about assignments and forgotten ideas.
End Time Allows the council to calculate how longs meetings take
