## Status

The current state of the project is hardware and software prototyping. A prototype was tested on the _Atuba River_, near a place known as [_Ecobarreira do Atuba_](https://www.instagram.com/ecobarreiradiegosaldanha/). It was "on" for 36 hours, but the battery died at the end of the night and it didn't turned back "on" when the sun recharged the battery.

The software has been improved to use the microcontroller's "deep sleep" mode and on the desk the battery lasted over 100 hours sending data every 6 minutes. Unfortunately it has a bad performance in the rain. Probably the Micro USB connection do not work well with water.

**The prototype is being prepared for a kayak tour.**

## Status

O estado atual do projeto é de prototipagem de _hardware_ e _software_. O protótipo foi testado no Rio Atuba, próximo a um lugar conhecido por [Ecobarreira do Atuba](https://www.instagram.com/ecobarreiradiegosaldanha/). Ele ficou ligado por 36 horas, a bateria acabou no final da noite e ele não religou quando o sol recarregou a bateria.

O _software_ foi alterado para usar o modo "sono profundo" do microcontrolador e na mesa a bateria durou mais de 100 horas enviando dados a cada 6 minutos. Infelizmente os conectores apresentaram baixa performance na chuva. Provavelmente a conexão Micro USB não funciona bem com água.

**O prototipo está sendo preparado para um passeio de caiaque.**
