Technical Specifications for WIS 2 Users for the WIS 2 pilot phase

This page contains information how to obtain information from WIS2.

1. connect to a Global Broker using a MQTT client (MQTT v3 or v5)
2. The list of Global Brokers in the pilot-phase is

• Méteo France: host: globalbroker.meteo.fr, port: 8883/1883, username: everyone, password: everyone, protocol: MQTT/MQTTs
• CMA: host: host: gb.wis.cma.cn, port: 8883/1883, username: everyone, password: everyone, protocol: MQTT/MQTTs

3. subscribe to the topics of interest
4. client will receive WIS2 notifications
5. possibly further filter messages locally to identify data of interest
6. download the data using the link supplied in the notification message
