The goal here is to test the reliability of our ZED2 stereo camera while being outside
If we go to a region with hills and small objects (maybe a snowy park in waterloo) that looks somewhat like the competition environment: https://urc.marssociety.org/, can we pick out all desired features? Are we detecting hills? Are we detecting snow 'features' or rocks?
If it is reliable, then maybe we can buy a few more stereo cameras to add around the rover for better view? If not, maybe we should consider a 3D lidar (although these could be very expensive).
