... preventing spurious `loom: ward bogus` assertion failures. The guard page was being moved if necessary after initializing an inner road (accounting for road padding), but it could still be hit while initializing the road struct itself, in which case it would trigger an guard-page sanity assertion.
It looks like this has been broken since the repository split. The version upload works, but the error check does not.
Fixes #482. This looks like a bad cherry-pick on my part, porting old code.
