Fragment Editor

Fragments can be edited with Fragment Editor which is basically an extended Markdown editor.

βœ”οΈ Trigger the Fragment Editor for a new Fragment

Click a button with a plus (+) symbol at the upper-left corner or bottom-left corner of the screen.
Those buttons are visible all the time.

βœ”οΈ Trigger the Fragment Editor for an existing Fragment

  1. Right-click on the header of each Fragment.
    • The header has a message such as Right-click for Menu on it.
  2. It will show you a context menu.
  3. Then click Edit.

βœ”οΈ The editor consists of the following user interface components (in a top to bottom order)

  1. Input for a Fragment Title
  2. Input for Tag names
    • Multiple Tag names should be comma-separated.
    • This input widget has autocomplete capability so as you type a portion of an existing Tag name, it will present you one or multiple suggestions.
  3. Toolbar to assist you in inserting Markdown commands or Civilizer Custom Markup commands.
  4. Textarea for your main content
  5. Buttons
    1. Preview button
      • It allows you to preview the HTML output from your content prior to saving it.
      • Frequent preview is recommended.
    2. Save button
      • It saves the Fragment into the database.

βœ”οΈ Extra features

  • You can drag around the editor by grabbing either of:
    • Title bar (where the close button is located
    • Bottom section in gray color where Preview and Save buttons are located.
  • You can resize the editor.
  • You can quickly minimize/restore the editor by double clicking on its title bar.
