I build data visualization software, chiefly in the Elm ecosystem. I currently have built and maintain:
- gampleman/elm-visualization for general data visualization
- gampleman/elm-mapbox for high quality geospatial visualization and mapping
As you might imagine, there is a lot of ground to cover in new features, for instance:
- hierarchical layouts for rendering trees, tree maps, circle packing
- chord diagrams
- sankey diagrams
- additional scales types, as well as color scales
Finally, I would love to spend more time thinking about making genuinely nice and idiomatic APIs for doing these things. That can take a lot of time, but that's why we all love Elm ❤️.
However, I have a full time job and 3 4 kids. My time is pretty limited and I need your help to make these things happen. I also particularly need help to be able to do some of the less glorious but more necessary parts of open source work:
- fix bugs in a timely manner
- keep dependencies up to date to avoid dependency rot
- improve documentation
- build and improve the examples
- hopefully write a guide/tutorial to help people get started with this tooling
