CharExtensions.ToLower Method (Char, CultureInfo)

Converts the value of a Unicode character to its lowercase equivalent.

Parameters

 

chr
Type: System.Char
The Unicode character to convert.
culture
Type: System.Globalization.CultureInfo
An object that supplies culture-specific casing rules.

Return Value

Type: Char
The lowercase equivalent of chr, modified according to culture, or the unchanged value of chr, if chr is already lowercase or not alphabetic.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Char. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
