Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours Multiplayer (furthermore known as "zamnhlmp") is a 2020 first-person shooter multiplayer-focused game developed and published by The Phoenix Project Software for Windows and Linux. It was The Phoenix Project Software's debut multiplayer-only product. It is the "multiplayer sidekick" to and is to be officially bundled with upon release Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours.

Notable features of this game upon Half-Life Deathmatch include a varied set of switchable gamemodes, a large amount of maps created by The Phoenix Project Software, Valve, Gearbox and the community, extensively customizable settings such as field of view (FOV), and advanced movement features & techniques such as strafe-jumping and bunny-hopping.

Development

Inception

In May 2019, The Phoenix Project Software announced a new mod in the making titled creaTive Deathmatch. No special or innovative features were revealed at the time, but it would be the company’s first project since Lost and Dead.

While no captivating features were revealed early on, two new maps were being developed titled Arena One and The Cube. Additionally, a horde/firefight mode was in development with The Cube planned to be a map where players team-up and fight four gonarchs.

Codebase switch

In November 2019, The Phoenix Project Software was in the midst of reviving the Lost and Dead property and creating their new SDK codebase named Grey Source. During this, creaTive Deathmatch was switched to be a modification of Adrenaline Gamer (using the OpenAG client). This decision was due to the fact that AG already had good skill-based gameplay support such as wallgaussing and bunny-hopping, and it already had a gamemode system.

Renamed & released: version 1.0

The game was officially released as Shooter Tourneys on 15TH April 2020. It was renamed from creaTive Deathmatch as TPPS were at the time co-operating with a community called Classic Shooter Tourneys and this game was to be its exclusive competitive-focused game for tournaments. Its game folder name was however named zamnhlmp as it would also be bundled with TPPS’ newly announced title, Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours. zamnhlmp officially became the internal codename and abbreviation of the game also.
