this is for outpaddling/desktop-installer#30

NetBSD's pkg_info and OpenBSD's pkg_info aren't the same. We need specific tasks for each.

This is incorrect: pkgsrc is a cross-platform package manager, checking for it should not be restricted to NetBSD.

yes- this is true, but openbsd's pkg_info is separate from pkgsrc, and is part of the regular binary package utilities on openbsd.

it is also incompatible with netbsd's pkgsrc

is there a better way to allow for openbsd's pkg_info compatibility?

Take a closer look at the changes you made to the script and my comment "checking for it should not be restricted to NetBSD".

Thanks for the clarification and script cleanup. It made this patch much easier to grok.

This good?

@outpaddling

EDIT: changed the commit message to be more consistent with the tree.
