In Amos 6:14, מִ/לְּב֥וֹא doesn't fit the syntax. I changed it to מִ/לְּ/ב֥וֹא.

מִ/לְּב֥וֹא becomes מִ/לְּ/ב֥וֹא in Amos 6:14

Thank you for your pull request and for noting the issue. A quick search suggests that this same expressions is also found elsewhere in the HB:

  • 1Kgs 8:65 <w lemma="m/935" morph="HR/Np" id="11RHd">מִ/לְּב֥וֹא</w>
  • 2Kgs 14:25 <w lemma="m/935" morph="HR/Ncmsc" id="12vQR">מִ/לְּב֥וֹא</w>
  • 2Chr 7:8 <w lemma="m/935" morph="HR/Np" id="1459X">מִ/לְּב֥וֹא</w>
  • Amos 6:14 <w lemma="m/l/935" morph="HR/Np" id="30HAz">מִ/לְּב֥וֹא</w>

In these cases it all refers to the construct chain מִלְּב֥וֹא חֲמָ֣ת (with different accents). We are inconsistent here: we parse the morphology both as HR/Ncmsc and HR/Np and the lemma as m/935 and m/l/935, and then there is the issue that you raised of the parsing of the word as מִ/לְּב֥וֹא rather than מִ/לְּ/ב֥וֹא.

One important thing to take into account is the fact that Lebo-hamath is a place name which occurs elsewhere. For instance:

  • Ezek 48:1 <w lemma="935" morph="HNp" id="26KKg">לְֽבוֹא</w><seg type="x-maqqef">־</seg><w lemma="2574" n="0.1.0.0" morph="HNp" id="26dB5">חֲמָ֡ת</w>

See also Jos 13:5; Jdg 3:3; 1Chr 13:5; Ezek 47:20.

So maybe we need the lemma in Amos 6:14 to read m/935 (and the word text to remain the same) and the morph in 2Kgs 14:25 to change to HR/Np? That would mean we read the phrase as place name. What do you think?

Thoughts @jag3773 @DavidTroidl ?

Thanks for your reply. I didn't deal with the word in depth.

It's obviously a place name. According to the other verses and place names you mentioned, the parsing as HR/Np and m/935 and מִ/לְּב֥וֹא seems reasonable. I can't judge it better than you do, so, your suggestion is perfectly fine for me.
