@salitrov The tsv files for the Italian translation are:

@salitrov There has been some user requests for an improved version of the Italian translation. One comment was received on the prior Italian translation update pull request "Updated and finalized Italian translation #117" which was cancelled.

The current Italian translation release (which is for Android only) is from a long time ago.

Here are some possible approaches to consider for improving the current as-is Itialian translation situation:

Approach: Use Pull Request #117 Content As An Interim Translation. The #117 edits can be found in the Italian_it.20190223.tsv spreadsheet for quick review. If acceptable, this could be used as an improved interim translation until an official update is available. The Italian_it.20190223.tsv spreadsheet can be released through our current .tsv to .xml process.

Approach: Interim Android Only Official-enough Release. If the official (work-on-progress) translation has coverage for the Andriod but not yet for iPhone, then an interim Android Only Release could be done. The daily-dozen-localization tools support processing the spreadsheets to only-Android or only-iPhone or to boths.

Approach: Official Release. The official release is close enough, so just be patient for the official release.

Hi Marc, thank you for this note and I'm sorry for the delay. Here is the Italian translation sheet we were last working on, which has been stalled since October. My fault. I'll leave it up to you to decide what we should go with, but I will prioritize getting this translation moving again and hopefully we'll be in much better shape on this by the end of June.

@salitrov See below for current updates:

TSV Updates. (Completed) The online Italian translation sheet is an older (incomplete) version which needed to be updated. The TSV files have been updated. The online translation effort should now proceed forward the following two files:

The aboved links' content has changed, so they will need to be downloaded to replace any prior copies-in-use of the same name.

Differences Report. (Completed) The Report_Italian_it_2022.06.03.txt file provides a list of differences between the online sheet which is now superseded by the files shown above. Consider this a list of lines to be doubled checked. However, keep in mind that many lines not in this report have not yet been translated.

Android Interim Translation (Queued) A test build could possibly be ready by the end of the this weekend. This is a minor interim update based on the current work-in-progress and the pull request feedback.

iPhone Translation Addition. (OnHold/Pending) The Italian_it spreadsheet does not have sufficient coverage to release a language snapshot for iOS. So, an iPhone will wait until the overall translation is ready.

Thank you, Marc. I'll assign an Italian translator to work on and finish this when one becomes available. Feel welcome to launch an interim translation if you're comfortable with it.

@salitrov The changeset01 tsv files contain some addition lines which need translation to support the addition of Google Firebase Analytics to the application, translator recognition, and the cruciferous servings update.

Some changes were made to the main Italian app translation. They noted to make sure line 357 (with the \n) looked right. I think you previously noted those are line breaks? Let me know if any other changes are needed for this. Thanks!
