Minimum model for combustion and upstream of fuels achieved, nothing serious downstream
Definition of elementary flows and impacts is now embeded in source data (new elementary flows and impacts will be gradually added in the future).
Current elementary flows are:
- Greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, undifferentiated CO2e).
- Primary energy extraction (crude oil, natural gas, coal, undifferentiated).
Current impacts are:
- Greenhouse gas emissions at time horizon 20, 100, and 500 years.
- Total of primary energy extracted.
The following processes are minimally but rather properly modelled, with proper references mentioned.
- Production and conditining of crude oil and natural gas.
- Transportation to market of crude oil (by ship) and natural gas (by pipeline).
- Refining (at least for gas/Diesel oil and gasoline outputs).
- Combustion (without upstream) for a few common fuels, measured in units of volume, mass, energy (LHV/HHV).
All other (downstream) processes (regarding transport, agriculture, industry) are NOT properly defined, and data are NOT referenced. Corresponding groups are almost empty, and were created only to display the software functionalities. More serious model and data still to come.
Note that although still very embryonic, the model already contains cycles (for instance ship transport of crude oil, which requires residual fuel oil).
Before type of impacts / elementary flows
Release before addition of generic types of impacts and generic types of elementary flows.
