Description

What the script can do and why you need it.

This script automates the process of digitizing a DVD collection. It simplifies the process by performing the following tasks automatically:

  • Ripping the DVD to a directory on your PC with no input required from you
  • Transcoding the file if it is over a default size of 20GB
  • Retrieving the correct movie title and poster artwork
  • Placing the movie in a folder with the correct movie name and poster artwork

To use the script, simply run it and insert a DVD into the drive. When the DVD is ejected, insert a new one and the process will repeat until all DVDs have been digitized. The script streamlines the process by eliminating the need to open multiple programs and configure different settings each time a new DVD is inserted.
