A prototype Android application that uses a local database to manage a car rental shop.
Since this is a prototype app, both customers and admin are allowed to use it.
The admin can login using "Login as owner", where the username and password are "admin". The admin has the ability to add, view and remove cars from the database, as well as viewing all customers.
A customer needs to create an account using "Sign up", then he can login using "Login as user". After logging in, the customer can rent a car in case he has not yet rented one. He can also return the car.
There's also a "Contact us" page, where the user can choose to call or email the owner (no real values were used).
The application uses a local database to store cars and customers. The admin's username and password are hardcoded.
Java JDK 8 was used in the development of this app.
