Unfortunately, Black 24.x.x is incompatible with 23.x.x, which is what comes by default with the version of Ubuntu that I'm using. If I were to use 24.x.x with GitHub actions and make the code compliant with 24.x.x, then Black 23.7.0 would complain on my development platform.
