  • for more information see: https://github.com/hexdump0815/imagebuilder/blob/main/systems/snapdragon_835/readme.md
  • those images are very much work in progress and only ment for others who might want to help brining up linux support for such systems - they are basically running, but a lot of things are not working yet or not properly yet, so they are really nothing for daily use - use them at your own risk as the bringup of those systems is still in its very early stages
  • v6.6.9 kernel from linux-stable (no longer from some special msm8998 repo)
  • this image is essentially just a move to a newer kernel (v6.6 lts) and it has a few little fixes and improvements here and there, no major progress otherwise
  • currently supported are the asus novago, someone booted the last image successful on a lenovo miix 630 and it might also work on the hp envy x2 (there are entries for all three in the grub menu - please always select the correct entry for your device as booting with the wrong device tree might harm the device worst case)
  • WARNING: except if you really really really know what you are doing, do not do anything with this internal storage and especially do not simply try to install linux on any of those storage devices as it is very easily possible to completely brick the device by messing up those partitions without any option to recover from that situation - even if the internal storage is accessible, please only run linux from sd card or usb!
