The software is simple to use, and it does not have a lot of whistles and bells; it is as it is advertised: Down and Dirty Checkin tool.

This demo is set up for a school environment, but you can edit it as you see fit.

This page is designed to register visitors for the first time. You need to supply the "phone number," but I purposefully did not make that field require the phone number format for those of us who want to make this field used for any other form of data you wish. If you want to change the database to accept only the format for phones, do that, but the rest of the world does not use the same format as North America. So, take it away and do as you wish.

For returning users, they do not need to reregister, instead, the user needs to supply the "phone number" or ID number, or whatever you choose data in the box. But I have made it so the user must still indicate the person visiting and the reason. That helps with each check-in and check-out tracking.

Finally, the user must click the "red button" and put their "phone number" back in to sign out.

You can also use your own custom stylesheet by adding it to the /path_to_dad/css/ directory and then making a few changes to the code in /path_to_dad/admin/theme.php and /path_to_dad/admin/index.php. The manual configuration is not difficult if you spend a little time banging around. You will be able to add yours.style.css to the site as you need. Once that is done you can pick your style in the Admin Dashboard.
