Just to let you know --- this project is in an very early stage and code is partially experimental, that is why it doesn't look really clean. Also, API/ABI is far far from being stable.

This library is primarily used by my "Scanner Frontend" (a SANE frontend), that jst evolves far beyond scanning to a color managed image manipulation tool with SANE scanner support. Goal is, though, that it works on Linux (currently using Debian, gcc 5, Codelite) and Windows (VS2013).
