7. Factory reset
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset gnome-extensions
This resets all Gnome extensions settings to defaults.
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset settings
This resets all OS settings to defaults.
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset settings-gidro-os
This is useful if you don't want to reset other customizations that you did to the default Gnome experience.
So it only resets the settings which are modified by Gidro-OS compared to the default Gnome experience.
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset apps
This will uninstall all flatpaks that you installed, including their data.
It also applies custom Gidro-OS defaults to Text Editor, Calculator, Clapper, Gapless & Folio.
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset apps-gidro-os
This will reset settings to factory defaults for Text Editor, Calculator, Clapper, Gapless & Folio.
Those apps are modified in Gidro-OS compared to their defaults, so this is useful if you want to reset settings to Gidro-OS defaults for those apps.
Go to Terminal & apply this command:
just factory-reset all
Restart your system.
Take in mind that "factory-reset all" of Gidro-OS is not actually reseting everything. It resets everything as much as possible in current state.
Currently, it won't restore /etc folder to default state if modified, it won't clean out /var & it won't restore "Home" directory to defaults, including its config & dotfiles (your personal data in "Home" remains).
