This is a guide on how to align and display multiple videos side by side in a single output video, you may want to read the guide on simple clipping first: Simple Clipping Guide

To make a simple 3 column combined grid, first select 3 subclips from your source videos, they should be about the same length. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053723

When they are selected you can go to the filters tab and crop them, this usually helps make a more dramatic and focused final video, to crop drag a box on the playing video. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053752

And click 'Add filter' on the left hand pane, a crop filter will be added that matches the box you dragged out. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053835

Whene they're all sized as you'd like them to be go to the encode tab and you should see previews of the final cropped subclips at the top. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053854

By default the program will export these as individual clips, we want to select the 'Grid' merge style from the dropdown at the top. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053925

That gives us a button a little further down the page to add columns to the layout, click it 3 times to add 3 columns. Screenshot 2022-05-14 053950

Select a column by clicking 'Select' and then click 'Add to sequence' right below the subclip preview you'd like to appear in that column. Screenshot 2022-05-14 054018

When they're all added you can choose how to handle the audio, by default it mixes them all together, but we'll select only to use the audio from the selected column. Screenshot 2022-05-14 054051

That's it, we can now encode and output our side by side grid: Screenshot 2022-05-14 054210

It's not limited to a single video per column, we can be more creative and the program will balance everything as needed: Screenshot 2022-05-14 055117
