I am not sure we want to introduce this breaking change and also the four letters api is kind of obsolete

isn't there any other way you can get this information ? using the new http API ?

If so, I think we would better add a command stateCommand to get the server state.

Does the zookeeper expose restful API? I don't see it. Could you please link it here?
