Advent of Code is an Advent calendar of small programming puzzles for a variety of skill sets and skill levels that can be solved in any programming language you like. People use them as a speed contest, interview prep, company training, university coursework, practice problems, or to challenge each other.

You don't need a computer science background to participate - just a little programming knowledge and some problem solving skills will get you pretty far. Nor do you need a fancy computer; every problem has a solution that completes in at most 15 seconds on ten-year-old hardware.

Alexa Prize by Amazon

The Alexa Prize, launched in 2016, is a competition for university students dedicated to advancing the field of conversational AI. Teams are challenged to design socialbots that Alexa customers can interact with via Alexa-enabled devices. About
The task of this competition is to develop a computer program that can successfully play Angry Birds. The long term goal is to build an intelligent Angry Birds playing agent that can play new levels better than the best human players. This is a very difficult problem as it requires agents to predict the outcome of physical actions without having complete knowledge of the world, and then to select a good action out of infinitely many possible actions. This is an essential capability of future AI systems that interact with the physical world. Amazon ML Summer School
About

Amazon ML Summer School aims at providing students the opportunity to gain Machine Learning (ML) skills which is the first step in becoming ready to build a career in ML. AWS Health AI Hackathon
About

In this hackathon, participants will use Amazon Comprehend Medical, to structure medical record notes, together with other purpose-built Health AI services and broader AWS cloud services, such as SageMaker, to build, train and deploy machine learning models to make sense of health data to address key challenges for health organizations like health equity, bias in healthcare, predicting healthcare outcomes in populations, and improving care quality. Bubble Cup
About

Bubble Cup is an international team coding competition aimed at university and high school students. It is a coding contest started by Microsoft Development Center Serbia in 2008 with a purpose of creating a local competition similar to the ACM Collegiate Contest, but soon that idea was overgrown and the vision was expanded to attract talented programmers from the entire region and promote the values of communication, companionship and teamwork. Since Bubble Cup 10 (2017), Bubble Cup is being co-organized by Petlja Foundation. Astronomy Club brings Cosmos and Chaos- a 3-hour rendition of a multi-dimensional treasure hunt, spanning 5 phases. Our aim? To allow our participants to channel their inner Sherlock Holmes, and challenge the limits of their cognitive and creative abilities in a limited time frame.

The event will be based on the theme of astronomy. There will be 5 phases or levels that the participants have to complete. A team can progress to higher levels as soon as they are approved for completion of a prior level. They can collaboratively work as a team of 2-4 members to find answers.

About
The website differs from other coding platforms by requiring students to download exercises through a command line client, solve the code on their own computers then submit the solution for feedback, at which point they can also view other's solutions to the same problem. A lot of quizes and question based on every difficult levels are available on the exercism website. Also it looks very fancy and enjoyable to code. The Exercism codebase is open source, consisting of over 50 repositories, containing website code, API code, command-line code and over 40 stand-alone repositories for different language tracks. More than 1 Million students practice questions on the website and more than 3 lakh Mentoring Discussions have been made on this website.

e-Yantra Robotic Competition by IIT Bombay
About
The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is the flagship initiative of the e-Yantra project. The competition is open to students from an engineering or polytechnic background and comprises 2 stages spanning over 6-7 months. The competition comprises 2 stages, from which Stage 1 is open to all and is a Robotics MOOC (Massive Online Open Course). During the competition, the participating teams are allotted “themes" with varying levels of complexity that are abstractions of real-world problems. A selected cohort from Stage 1 is admitted into Stage 2. The leading 5-6 teams from Stage 2 are hosted for the National Finals at IIT Bombay in March every year where they demonstrate their projects before a jury.!

e-Yantra INNOVATION CHALLENGE by IIT Bombay
About
The e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC 2022-23) has been launched Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay to seek solutions for inclusive urban infrastructure. e-Yantra is a Robotics outreach program that caters to young engineers in solving problems using technology. Winning teams who successfully pitch will receive seed funding from a prize pool of Rs 1 crore. There is also 25 lakhs worth of prizes to be won. Innovation challenge is divided into four stages. Stage 1 is a training sprint that familiarises participants with the theme, trains them in technologies, and helps them articulate problems with training through MOOCs and live sessions by experts. Stage 2 is a prototyping sprint where teams work under e-Yantra mentorship to build a prototype of their proposed solution. Stage 3 is an innovation sprint where e-Yantra helps develop a pitch to an Incubator – here, the IIT Bombay Incubator SINE. The Reinforcement Learning (RL) Open Source Fest is a global online program focused on introducing students to open-source reinforcement learning programs and software development while working alongside researchers, data scientists, and engineers on the Real World Reinforcement Learning team at Microsoft Research NYC. The Caltech Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, or SURF, provides undergraduate students pursing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics with an introduction to the research process under the guidance of seasoned mentors at JPL and Caltech. The Reply Code challenge was created in 2019. A team of coding experts from Reply (the Reply Code Masters), entered a few competitions. Based on their experiences, they decided to design a challenge powered by Reply aimed at Replyers first and then to students and professionals. Now, over four intense hours, participants from all over the world come together each year to solve algorithm-based problems, using any programming language.

The Standard Edition is for students and professionals aged 16 or older. It involves solving logical mathematical problems by writing an algorithm in any programming language. You can train with the past problems and see if the level of the challenge fits for you.
