Upgrading from 8.x to 9.x
PetBlocks has been recoded from scratch to become easier to update and be prepared for future minecraft changes.
Please notice that you cannot convert anything from 8.x to 9.x automatically.
- Rename your old
plugins\PetBlocks
folder toplugins\PetBlocks_Old
folder. You may want to retrieve stored data later on, so keep it for now. - Install PetBlocks for 9.x, and take a look at the generated files in the new
plugins\PetBlocks
folder.
GUI
- PetBlocks 9.x does no longer have a GUI because PetBlocks wants to be a pet plugin, not a GUI plugin.
- If you just want to have the old PetBlocks GUI back, PetBlocks distributes premade GUIs for the popular GUI plugin
DeluxeMenu
.
A guide for this can be found on the new wiki - Build your own GUI using PetBlocks placeholders and [PetBlocks commands].(https://shynixn.github.io/PetBlocks/wiki/site/commands/).
Permissions
- PetBlocks has got new permissions.
Database
- Old pets cannot be converted. The new pets use an entirely different format and properties.
