Hlpb Editor
The Hlpb Editor edits the data stored in .nuhlpb files like model.nuhlpb. The model.nuhlpb file stores helper bone constraints help to animate bones in the model.nusktb. Helper bones are often used for areas that would be difficult to animate manually like a character's elbows, knees, or sleeves on a coat. Helper bones are also used for the Exo Skel technique used for some custom model imports.
Helper bone constraints are grouped by type into aim constraints and orient constraints. Aim constraints constrain the target bone to face the source bone. Orient constraints copy a portion of the source bone's rotation to the target bone. Mods using the exo skel technique rely on orient constraints to copy the rotations of the smash skeleton to the added skeleton.
Editing some values will update in the viewport in real time. Rendering nuhlpb constraints is still highly experimental, so always test in game for accurate results.
