Results

A ratio greater than 1.0 denotes a possible regression (marked with ❌), while a ratio less
than 1.0 denotes a possible improvement (marked with ✅). Only significant results - results
that indicate possible regressions or improvements - are shown below (thus, an empty table means that all
benchmark results remained invariant between builds).

ID time ratio memory ratio
["display"] 0.01 (5%) ✅ 0.01 (1%) ✅
["plot"] 0.75 (5%) ✅ 1.00 (1%)

Results

Below is a table of this job's results, obtained by running the benchmarks.
The values listed in the ID column have the structure [parent_group, child_group, ..., key], and can be used to
index into the BaseBenchmarks suite to retrieve the corresponding benchmarks.
The percentages accompanying time and memory values in the below table are noise tolerances. The "true"
time/memory value for a given benchmark is expected to fall within this percentage of the reported value.
An empty cell means that the value was zero.

I'm a bit reluctant in making Plots messier than it already is.

That being said, we can have a work around if it is the only solution left, since it affects multiple end users.

At the very least, we should address
#4719 (comment) so that we can link to an upstream issue in this PR.

TTFP doesn't seem to be increased noticeably, compared to "extension-mode".

Benchmark Report for /home/runner/work/Plots.jl/Plots.jl

Job Properties

  • Time of benchmark: 26 May 2023 - 10:43
  • Package commit: b217c1
  • Julia commit: 8e6305
  • Julia command flags: None
  • Environment variables: None

ID time GC time memory allocations
["display"] 3.475 ms (5%) 360.50 KiB (1%) 6973
["load"] 3.588 s (5%) 4.59 KiB (1%) 92
["load_plot_display"] 4.275 s (5%) 4.62 KiB (1%) 92
["plot"] 668.105 μs (5%) 86.31 KiB (1%) 3119
