positron 2024.06.1-27 (new cask) #178011
Conversation
Automated GitHub Actions checks are only failing because of the "2024.06.1-27 is a GitHub pre-release", but it seems to me that Positron can be considered as an exception, because it is actually quite stable already (it was under private beta testing for about a year). Also RStudio daily release has it's own cask. |
@e-kotov Because there aren't any stable releases yet, usually the pre-release version would take the main token |
@bevanjkay ok, I can resubmit just Positron |
When do you anticipate a stable release? |
@bevanjkay updated to just "positron" |

brew audit --cask --new <cask>
worked successfully.HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1 brew install --cask <cask>
worked successfully.brew uninstall --cask <cask>
worked successfully.Comments:
Positron is a new IDE that might eventually replace RStudio
brew audit warns that this is pre-release (so not ticking the checkboxes), but so is rstudio@daily
