Welcome to the 10x wiki!
We will document things here.
The work we do for this website will, in general, meet the following standards. We may choose to deviate from those standards from time to time, but when we do we'll reach consensus with the team and document why we've made that decision (updating this list as needed).
Our work for the 10x website will –
- conform to WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards (also see Understanding WCAG)
- conform to 18F content guidelines
- conform to 18F front end guidelines
- be responsive down to 320x568 ppi (smallest screen dimension that represents at least one percent of traffic on U.S. government sites) and up to whatever size works best for the design.
- Informative and encouraging, not pushy
- Be specific and concrete about eligibility, not vague or broad
- Be like the lunar lander – provide only what is necessary (visual and content) and no more.
- Trustworthy enough to manage a few million dollars, but not stuffy or bureaucratic
- Fun and whimsical, but not irresponsible or immature
