Welcome to the 2018 course on using Python to interact with ARM Radar data. This course, held at the 2018 ARM-ASR Science Team Meeting is an introductory course to Python and the Python-ARM radar Toolkit.
The course takes place at the Tyson's Corner Sheraton in the Vienna room. We will start at 9am.
This repository contains a superset of what we will be covering and is broken down into four sections:
- Introductory Python
- Introductory Py-ART
- Quality Control and Processing in Py-ART
- Works With Py-ART, High Level Applications
At the workshop you will be given a thumbdrive containing this repository and data files required. You can either run the tutorial from the thumbdrive or copy onto your system (recommended).
We will be using Project Jupyter Notebooks for delivering the course materials. This provides a rich browser based interface to Python allowing in-line visualization.
Scott Collis: Py-ART Science Lead, ARM Radar Translator, Argonne National Laboratory.
Robert Jackson: Py-ART Developer, CMDV Postdoctoral Fellow, Argonne National Laboratory.
Valentin Louf: Py-ART Contributor, Postdoctoral Fellow, Monash University.
