I noticed that maybe the header is too big. Especially when you zoom the page in, the header easily takes up ~30% of the page.

Please asses the situation and add your voice to this ticket.

I also think that the header could be smaller.

The header also takes a lot of space on mobile devices in landscape mode.

The dimensions of the display of the devices in the attached screenshots are:

  • Smartphone: 667px × 375px
  • Tablet: 1024px × 768px

I think the header of the homepage is fine (before scrolling).

Landscape on a small device definitely has to be corrected.

This is a 1024x768 screen in landscape. Do you thin the header is too big on this one?

Okay, the big header on the homepage is fine after scrolling.

On all other pages, the fixed header could be smaller (or simply not be fixed at all).

Maybe we can implement something like Headroom.js to have a fixed header without the drawbacks?
