The goal is to make the client OMEMO-compatible for private messaging. OMEMO is an end-to-end encryption protocol that offers safe XMPP client-to-client communication. Users will be able to have private and secure encrypted discussions by utilizing OMEMO for individual messaging.

Tasks:

  • Integrate OMEMO key management functionality.
  • Implement OMEMO session management logic.
  • Enable message encryption using OMEMO for outgoing individual messages.
  • Enable message decryption for incoming individual messages using OMEMO.
  • Test and validate OMEMO functionality using XMPP clients that are compatible.
  • Update documentation to include information about OMEMO support for individual messaging.
