With the pending elastic major release of 8.0, I'm wondering what the turnaround may be for support with this forge module. Is there any commitment from elastic to help support those who use on prem elasticsearch through puppet forge?
I'm hesitant to commit to using this module extensively without knowing if I'm then 'locked into' using elastic 7.x
Thank you for your recent work and getting 7 supported!
In the coming release of elastic, I think it would be helpful to have your config hash supported to port over to the standard elasticsearch.yml template, but I understand that may not be as easy as overwritting the template with the necessary variables. This feature request is separate from the request of Elastic 8.0 support

I would also like to know this. We are using this module extensively and are planning to upgrade to Elastic 8.x. It would be nice if this module supports 8.x.
