Application to become an approved third party manufacturer as per HIP19.

Summary

I am glad to apply to become HIP19. HUASONS (HK) LIMITED was established on February 20, 2014 in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, Long-standing holder of radio Dealer licence [relaxed], engaged in radio product development and distribution since establishment. In 2015, we began to cooperate with Shenzhen Nokeloc to expand the Internet of Things market in Hong Kong. In 2017, we cooperated with HuoBi to develop and distribute blockchain-related products and held the Hong Kong domain name of blockchain projects such as USDC.HK. In 2018, acting as the Hong Kong channel of some Xiaomi products.

  • HUASONS (HK) LIMITED was established on February 20, 2014 in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, engaged in radio product development and distribution since establishment. Team members participated in the early development of GFANS in 2008 and have worked in wireless digital products and cryptocurrency mining for more than 10 years. Familiar with mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia market, and have sales channels in the region.

  • As a long-term agent to sell a variety of radio and blockchain products. In 2018, aiDOC health mining bracelet was independently developed. In 2021, we independently developed the NFT display screen.

  • The company's sales are steady. The sales exceeded ten million Hong Kong dollars in some months.
  • What brought you to Helium etc?
  • We learned about it through the introduction of mining customers in May, started to try it in August, and decided to produce mining machines independently in October. The company has long-term cooperation with shenzhen wireless raw material manufacturers, especially chip manufacturers, so that stable production can be achieved

We will sell our first generation product at around $599. We will guarantee that the products will be delivered from Hong Kong within one month. We have the ability to let customers receive the products within 40 days and join the helium mining team in time.

What is your expected production and delivery timeline?

  • Production will start within 20 days of official certification, the first shipment will be completed within 35 days, and the products will be received by customers within 45 days.

Hardware Security Element

  • The community is concerned about devices that can be easily hacked, specifically by copying their swarm_key files. Applications should include plan for how the devices will be secured, potentially including:

  • We have a great relationship with a number of large suppliers who provide us with a steady and consistent supply of parts.

  • It is expected to produce 6,000 units per month.

Manufacturing Information

  • Have you built and delivered radio hardware products before?
  • Yes, we have built and delivered AIDOC Health Mining bracelet before.
  • Have you built gateways before?
  • Lora equipment was not involved, but team members have worked on related projects before.
  • How many gateways did you make?
  • We are not doing any gateway at present.
  • If you have not built gateways before, are you using a third party manufacturer? This is the single largest risk with most hardware ventures. If possible please provide information about your manufacturing partners and supply chain.
  • There is no need for a third party manufacturing company, we have completed the sample of mining machine. We have our own assembly line for production.

Proof of Identity

Per typical KYC/AML procedures, proof of identity for major shareholders (25%+ ownership) will be expected to be provided privately to representatives from Helium Inc or DeWi board members. This will be attested and publicly confirmed by those representatives, e.g. as GitHub comments. Contact details for this will be provided after your application is submitted on GitHub.

Budget & Capital (required)

  • We plan to start mass production within 1K, and then expand the scale according to customer demand. Therefore, based on the income of existing products, we do not need special other funds at the beginning. If the budget is over, we will consider financing, and we have good relations with local banks.

  • 1000P/week.
  • How much money will be required up-front? How much money do you have on-hand, and how much do you have access to?
  • $300000.
  • What is your plan for additional financing if required? This is the second biggest risk in new hardware ventures - getting almost over the line and then running out of cash.

Risks & Challenges (required)

Please tell us about some of the challenges that would prevent these products from becoming a reality and how you might address them.

  • Raw materials, especially... Chips are seriously out of stock. We have talked about cooperation with ** and can guarantee the chip needs within 4K every month. If more chips are needed, we may need to update the purchase plan. Besides, the work progress of the OEM will be delayed to some extent during the Chinese Spring Festival in February. The logistics company in Hong Kong will have about 10 days' holiday during the Chinese New Year, which may affect our logistics plan.
