Posting Guidelines for Feature Requests & Enhancements

The Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) encourages UFS community members to post requests for new SRW App features and enhancements in the Enhancements category of the ufs-srweather-app Discussions. These requests are collected and sent to management for prioritization.

When posting a request, include a thorough description of the feature or enhancement including elements such as:

• Description: General explanation of the desired feature and the problem it resolves.
• Purpose: Why is this feature needed? (specific use case)
• Requirements: What does the new feature need to accomplish?
• Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done): What does it mean for this feature to be finished?
• Dependencies (optional): Does this feature/capability require resolution of preexisting issues (if so, provide link to GitHub Issue)? Does the nonexistence of this capability block progress on current work?
• Proposed Solution (optional)
