Switch to German>Neo2 keyboard layout (or NeoQwertz, similar layout) in Gnome Settings
Can't type normal letters anymore. The Neo2 family of keyboard layouts has several layers that allow the user to conveniently type symbols and numbers. The computer is seemingly stuck in one of the higher layers only giving access to numbers, arrow/movement keys and symbols.
What did you expect to happen?
Be able to use NeoQwertz normally like I can in any other Distro using (or not using) Gnome including Fedora Silverblue.
I tried rebasing to GTS and latest, but no change. But it works when doing a clean install of Fedora Silverblue. It's broken on Bazzite as well, but rebasing to silverblue-main base image fixes the issue.
NeoQwertz lets the user type using the default German layout (Qwertz instead of Qwerty), but still have access to the many layers of Neo2 by pressing modifier keys like Capslock without having to relearn how to type.
Note: The NeoQwertz variant is hidden by default in Gnome Settings. To make it visible, run: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true
