Related to typings/registry#980

Electron is working on providing an official electron.d.ts (automatically generated from the API docs) electron/electron#4875. Please raise any concerns / ideas there.

This copy is very badly outdated and should not be used.

Sure. Since DT has a less outdated version, we can delete this one.

We are still figuring out how to automatically publish the typings for Electron on every release. If you could comment on that in the Electron ticked linked here, it would be really appreciated. We want them to be both embedded (when you just do npm install electron) and also available separately for those who consume Electron binaries directly (npm install @types/electron or typings install electron).

typings will basically EOL when microsoft/types-publisher#4 lands.
So you don't need to consider typings install electron scenario.

npm install @types/electron means auto PR to DT.

Although unlikely, just keep this issue open and delete the repo when the bundled typings is released

@miniak You probably saw my comment in the registry, but we'll need to keep the registry around for anyone currently reading it. I'd say go ahead and mark as much as possible as deprecated though, and feel free to disable issues/PRs/etc that you can.
