App version

5.3.10

Device environment

iOS 18.0.1, iPhone 15

Bug description

Aegis supports a note field, just like 2FAS, which usually contains the account name. When importing my Aegis backup into 2FAS, the resulting service name of the entry is now the account name, and the actual service name is gone.

  1. Import Aegis backup.
  2. Entries are now incorrectly sorted, because service name is set to account name or note.

Solution

Looking at the exported Aegis file, the following fields should be used this way:

  • "issuer" is service name
  • "name" is account name/notes, not service name
