A plugin that counts active users would be nice,

periodically store the number (sum not individual users) of:

  1. online users
  2. registered users

This could be driven by:

  • online/offline messages
  • a metronome onramp for ticks

and a kv sink for storing time indexed data

additionally a rest source for allowing to query this data would be neat
