Thanks for making this wonderful app.
The night mode is working well for my HS200 and the HS210 switch. However the dimmer switch (HS220 V2) night mode slider would goes back to "off" after couple sec.

Hey great to hear that you are linking the app!!!
I don't have an HS220 device so I made the code just looking at the documentation.

Do the HS220 V2 blink when you slide the night mode?
Every 10 seconds I am updating all the devices with information from TP-link servers that why you see slider going back

By the way, can you check if you have any update from the Kasa App for that device?

Hi Thanks for the respond, No the HS220 V2 doesn't blink when I slide to night mode.

The current firmware is 1.0.3 and it should be the most updated one.

That super strange that the HS220 V1 is working and V2 is not working, based on this table:
https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/165992?replyId=444310

I can't do much since I am simply running a command line that TP-link devices support native "set_led_off".

If you want to read some documentation:

I will be aware of this bug and if I know anything else I will let you know :-/

+1 to finding a solution to the HS220 V2 issue with night mode. Based on the above, it sounds like V3 is working? Is the difference between V2 and V3 just firmware? Or, is this a legit hardware limitation? Any thoughts?

I have the HS220 P3. It does not appear that the LED changes at all when toggling Night Mode in the app. No message either, just switches back.

Model: HS220
HW Version: 2.0
Firmware: 1.0.3 (no update available)

Is this model/version supported?

Right now I don't know if is a hardware or firmware limitation but is just affecting HS220 version 2.0
HS220 v1 and v3 is working :-/

I would like to add that I’m having the same issue. My HS210 switches will turn on night mode and turn off the led ring, but my HS220 switches just switch back to off after a few seconds. The one I care most about turning off is my bedroom switch which is the HS220.

I do appreciate this app for being able to turn off led on my other ones! It was a pleasant surprise to find this!

I also just noticed that the wireless sign for the hs220 doesn’t show up in the app, but it does for the hs210 (3 way non dimmer) switches I also have. Could that be part of the issue?

@theoriginalfathead I suggest that you change the room bedroom switch for the one HS210 so you don't have the light in the room is not the best solution.
Regarding the wireless missing, I will have to investigate. The HS220 is a different device because has code from bulb + switch

I second (or third) this request. I have an HS220 V2 that won’t go into night mode. Luv luv luv the app when I had the HS200 installed, but ‘upgraded’ to the dimmer switch in the bedroom only to discover night mode wasn’t working. It would be awesome if you can find a fix for this. Until then, black electrical tape. Yuck.
