Page translation request: outdated or missing Portuguese Brazilian pages #13575
Comments
@renie Hi, you seem to be enjoying making contributions for Brazilian Portuguese, is there maybe a chance you can look to the outdated pages? tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance#110 - I know it are a lot, but if we put some effort in now, I am sure we can keep the pile low in the future |
Sure, @sebastiaanspeck . I will have a look at them. |
first PR submitted for all the outdated linux commands based on the commands itself. |
second PR submitted for all the outdated linux commands based on the number of commands. |
Hi, I'd like to contribute translating to pt_BR as well. I'm think about starting with windows and osx out of date pages, and then move on to common pages (to not conflict with renie's work. Is it OK? Also, a question: common has many pages, so one PR per page would be too noisy and I'm afraid that one PR for all may be too much pages in one. What's is the best approach? |
Feel free to make a start!
I think the best approach is one PR per platform. For your information this issue has outdated numbers, please refer to tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance#110 which is an up-to-date issue and will also be updated if you would resolve any outdated page. |
Thanks. I've spotted the aforementioned issue before. Congrats on the this very organized system, it was very easy to spot the contribution needed and how to contribute. |
Hey @rffontenelle ! It is very nice to see someone else interested on helping with those translations. |
@renie thanks for letting me know. Ok, windows and osx first, then we coordinate. |
And if you want, there are two android pages outdated as well 😄 tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance#110 has been updated after the two PR’s from @renie have been merged. |
It is very good to see those lists getting smaller 😌 |
Hi, I'd also like to contribute to translation. I see you're already working on |
Sure, @rafaelgpaves ! |
Sounds good! I'll start working on |
Please check tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance#110, this one gets updated actively after every commit and shows the current progress. |
Hello! I'd also like to contribute to the translation. Submititted my first PR: #14401 that fixes a broken a link and adds a 'deprecated' warning. |
Thanks, @johnnywell ! |
Right now (2024-09-02) there are:
This is according to https://github.com/tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance. I see we are constantly adding new pages, which is great, but if we keep this stack above building up, it won’t be feasible to fix these issues anymore.
Therefore I would like to open this request to call Portuguese Brazilian maintainers to keep the Portuguese Brazilian pages up-to-date, besides adding new pages.
@isaacvicente @vitorhcl
Note
This issue is for Portuguese Brazilian only, but I could open way more issues for all other CODEOWNER-maintained languages. I want to mention again how useful https://github.com/tldr-pages/tldr-maintenance is to me. I can check very quickly if I have to do any work on updating the Dutch pages e.g., or if we have to run set-more-info-link.py e.g.
