The work you guys have done in educating us payments cavemen about the benefits of pricing-billing separation and creating a product to achieve the same has been nothing short of amazing. Tier looks awesome! That said, just as coupling billing and pricing-ops has many drawbacks, so does coupling a business to a single payment provider - namely Stripe. I would like to use Tier to connect to a myriad of payment providers, in addition to Stripe.
How should we solve this?
There's mature(ing?) open source project called hyperswitch, that creates a single API for driving payments through any of over 100 payment processors. I imagine you're team has heard of it - do you have any plans of connecting to HyperSwitch?
What is the impact of not solving this?
I likely continue to follow Tier's progress but refrain from using it in my own work.
Anything else?
