Im trying to run the AWSIM demo but experiencing trouble with the connection between AWSIM and Autoware.
AWSIM loads as expected (as far as I know), the simulation starts running.
The problem is that the vehicle does not 'spawn' in autoware, thus I cannot set a 2D Goal Pose.
Is this a common error with an easy fix or is there something else going on?
I'm new to both Linux/Ubuntu and AWSIM/Autoware (I'm an engineering student) but the installation was performed by my teacher (he is also unable to get the vehicle to spawn in Autoware).
Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Try starting AWSIM and running the $ ros2 topic list command. is the topic published?
If the ros2 topic has been successfully published, Autoware will automatically start self-location estimation when you start Autoware.
