Audio crackling, hardware clicking, audio delay or audio silence
Prevent Crackling or audio delay with PipeWire/WirePlumber
I hope this helps.
In between these two titles the paragraph could also mention a brief sentence describing this audio delay. How would I describe it in as few words as possible?
When audio is not heard after a period of silence.
The word silence or delay could be interpreted many ways making it difficult. So what's my use case?
I was playing online chess games. when moving a piece, a short audio clip was played of a piece moving on a wooden board. If it took longer than 5 seconds between moves, then often I wouldn't hear the next audio clip from the game. I didn't notice any issue with youtube or playing video files, it was solely with these short, sporadic audio clips from browsers.
Thank you.
FYI. For a laugh, there's also something to be said about web browsers and how they can determine what a user means between delay, silent, etc. I've dealt with this for about a month now and this brave search is how I found the answer. Take a look at the AI generated response up top.
The only source cited at the bottom of this answer found editing the file in question is found on the arch wiki and this very system 76 wiki page as mentioned above! Even though that wiki page doesn't mention a solution for audio delay/silence. This example may help naming titles so people find the answer.
