Try Azure Speech-To-Text Speech APIs via Node.js
-
Install the latest stable version of Node.js (version 0.10.x).
-
$ git clone https://github.com/swells/text-to-speech.git
-
$ cd text-to-speech
-
$ npm install
Before you run the example you must add your credentials here in tts.js
:
CLIENT_ID = '{{ PUT YOUR USER ID HERE }}'
SUBSCRIPTION = '{{ PUT YOUR SpeechAPI Subscription HERE }}'
I not confident that the CLIENT_ID
is needed or not? The SUBSCRIPTION
however is a must. You can get your subscription key by:
- Sign up to use the Speech APIs
- Login into the Azure portal
- Navigate to:
MARKETPLACE-->SpeechAPIs-->Dashboard-->Subscription
$ node tts.js
This will write out a file called speech.wav
. Open speech.wav
and you should
hear the speech in English:
