About - funding structure

Hi! Writing this from the perspective of a (potential) user.

Going to the website I wanted to find out about the funding structure of the organisation - i.e. for-profit/not-for-profit, how you handle making money while remaining open source etc.

I thought that there would be a short page that addresses this under the 'about' section in the footer, and there is not. Would it be possible to add one?

IMO this is a good suggestion. We'll aim to add something along these lines the next time we do a revamp of the website - hopefully within the next two months.
