Spreadsheet development stopped? Switch to OnlyOffice?

There is a pretty severe usability bug when working with spreadsheets. Using an iPad as my main device, and I simply cannot resize columns. I was curious about the state of development for Standard Notes, and looking at the commit history it does not appear there is any activity for about two years now.

I can see that it’s derived from Kendo UI, which itself has the same exact issue (see demo) despite being frequently updated. Since Kendo UI is not open source and not free, I am wondering if cost is an issue?

A quick glance at OnlyOffice, and it looks like has a superior editor and is open source. At first blush it looks like it requires the use of their documents server, but I can see that their are adapters available for other platforms that don’t appear to be using OnlyOffice. Maybe a Standard Notes adapter could be created for the OnlyOffice UI component(s)?
