I am from the UK and have been one of many that have been the driving force for not only the UK PowerShell community but also the wider International PowerShell community. I also have helped in other technology communities like the SharePoint/Office 365 Communities, the DevOps communities, LeanAgile & more recently Azure.

I will use sponsorship funds to commit my time better to the community as well as make much needed personal equipment investments, this is regardless of me being in full time employment or not, which currently I am not. I will also put it towards the expansion of the UK PowerShell Community as well as the wider international PowerShell Community and I will also be reinvesting some of it in sponsoring others that I think that are deserving of it, whether they be in the PowerShell community or not, whether that be by one off sponsorships or a rolling monthly sponsorship, which I will decide on a case by case basis.

Anyone that really knows me, knows just how much I give away for free & most of the time without asking for anything in return, because I know what it's like to struggle & I don't want to see others struggle unnecessarily either, so yes my goal is high, but I would be more than happy with anyone just sponsoring me just a single one off coffee or a meal or whatever amount they felt was worthy. But I will say that every penny I receive in sponsorship will be used & stretched & reinvested as well as it can be, because I really really do not like accepting money off of others at all for any of my community work.

Reaching this goal would enable me to dedicate the mass majority of my available workable time completely to community work & not be reliant on whether or not that I was employed or not. Whilst this is a high amount (at least for some) I think this is reasonable and would allow me to live reasonably comfortably whilst doing so & better allow me to manage my time to the best of my abilities for the betterment of the wider technical communities, with a heavy focus on PowerShell, Microsoft Windows, Azure & Microsoft 365 technologies. but predominantly focused on PowerShell and it's Community.
