👋 My open source journey is not unique. I early on discovered folks on GitHub and the open Internet just as interested in the things I was. What an exciting time to be a software engineer! We are so fortunate to be a part of this new medium - let's make the most of it together.
⚛️ My early interest in UI development and component libraries had me maintain https://github.com/pattern-lab/patternlab-node for many years. I learned so much and met many friends. I moved my family to a different state due to that work.
⚙️ I've transitioned into back-of-the-front-end work and mentoring others. I don't code as much as I used to anymore, but I still got a lot to learn and a lot to share.

This goal will make me feel a little less guilty about stealing away time from the family every so often. With the extra funds I can take them out for a treat or grab coffee with my wife. We don't get a lot of time to ourselves anymore.
