I'm an Italian senior developer specializing in language engineering (parsers, transpilers, editors, DSLs, and everything that revolves around formal languages).

As a hobbyist, these days I mainly maintain the Portofino framework and a number of related tools (client libraries, UIs, CLI). Technologies range from Java and Groovy, to TypeScript and Angular, to Common Lisp.

I plan to use any funds I receive roughly as follows:

  • 1/3 to pay for additional services such as demo instances of Portofino on AWS, or marketing, that I don't want to pay for from my own pockets;
  • 1/3 to sponsor open-source projects that I've used to build Portofino and related tools;
  • 1/3 for my own leisure time: trips in the countryside and funding sustainable local projects in agriculture and co-living.

You've got to start from somewhere, don't you? 😉
